A Fond Farewell

This (I think) will be my last post on my blog. When I began I didn't have a timeline in my head as to how long I would post, but I feel like it is time to quit. I will continue to keep up with many of you through your blogs, though! And I plan on continuing on FaceBook and may post there occassionally.

Of course being a women, I may change my mind sometime in the future, so I will be keeping this page open until I decide to do otherwise.

Thanks a lot and many Blessings to all of you.

I am thankful to report that Shae was retained at Pfizer! We feel very blessed that we do not have to make major changes right now.

I will be taking a bloggy break for a few weeks. But will be back to fill you in on the adventures we are having.

Changes, They Are 'A Comin'

You may have heard of the massive layoffs Pfizer is going through this month. Of course Shae will be one of the thousands who are laid off. We will have the final word on Friday, but I can't see him keeping his job. It may be better this way, anyway. So he will be looking for employment soon. Finding employment won't be difficult. Finding employment that comes close to his current pay will. Many people have been hit during these hard times, so I really am counting my blessings that it's not worse. He can always volunteer to go back into the Army full time.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my blog's 1 year anniversary. And since I've been a women of few words lately, all I shall say about this is : Happy Anniversary to Me.

More Addition Photos

I hope I'm not including too many new addition photos. They bore me just about as much as they bore you. But for those of you are wondering where we are on this massive project, here is an update:

I am standing on Main Street facing north east when I took this shot.

This is the back of the addition. I am facing south. Notice the pile of cow poop in the front of the photo. Only in a small town can you have cow poop in your back yard. This is the main floor room, which will be a family/play room. It is primed and waiting for paint, trim and carpet. Then it will be 95% done!

We shall not talk about the 2nd story at this time.

Almost Time!

These arrived in the mail a few days back and they absolutely make me giddy! I feel about these like a lot of you gals feel about new fabric! Only a few more months before we can really start getting the soil ready. And I will pass the time looking through these new seed magazines. It makes me warm just thinking about it.

A Downer

I realized it's been awhile since my last post and wanted to update a little about what's been going on.

I have a heart condition and needed surgery on Friday to replace my 7 year old pacemaker. It went well and I didn't even have to spend the night. The doctor did find a small rhythm problem in my heart that will be corrected with another surgery at a later date. I really don't like to dwell on this issue in my life, but wanted to let the friends and family know that all is well. I continue to pray every day that someday I will no longer need the device. Of course that prayer will be answered when "I see Jesus face to face." (name that song.)

Love you all.
